Default App?

Like we all know, we can use another App to do the same things.. example we can send and receive sms using Messages App by HTC or we can use Handcent SMS.

My question is, how to find and setup and config default App? Example for browser I choose Opera Mini. Which menu we can do it?

You can only do it if that app registers iotself as an option to be default, opera doesn't do this atm, so there is no option to set it as default. An app that does would be dolphin HD for example (btw a much better browser than opera)
