Root defunct

that makes sense. i cant even bring myself to beat an entire game most of the time tho lol. not without cheating at the very least
 
lol it happens. seen much worse. had a guy hard brick his phone by having a rom from the wrong device on his card and accidentally installing it. hell even i have done things like plug in the phone, go to put a cwm test copy on the sd, get distracted momentarily then go to install the file i never put on the phone and wonder why its not there
 
i think i should also do dual core mod... (dual core locked to on position and wont let android disable it unless by command line)
 
but yea imma shut up and go work on cm... so far today ive managed to work backwards from a black screen to being stuck on andy

go me lol

but hey i guess figuring out what not to do is progress in its own way right?

I'm working on pulling vendor files for the Awe, using the extract-files.sh file from other devices as a base.
 
yea i was thinking of starting fresh using one of playfulgods lg repos as a base. like the spirit or the motion. very similar devices, but of course this phone isnt too far off from the zte force so that repo as a base shouldnt be too far off i would think
 
gonna see what i can get out of it. try making it to boot animation at least but i doubt ill get that far tonight considering the time it takes to run a build. i might have one more test in me after this if that

You working on the Awe or the Warp? Sorry confused as to which device your building for based on previous comments lol
 
well, technically the warp. but in essence im working on the warp 4g, awe, and source all at the same time. all 3 are nearly identical
 
if that doesnt work tho you could try clearing the data and cache for it in the app manager, and or uninstalling any previous updates you may have applied to it, and last resorts would be clearing dalvik cache and if that doesnt work you may have to factory reset though i doubt itll come to that
 
well i mean ive been similar... but back out of that thread into the all things root section for the force, if you cant find cwm i strongly recommend you get your eyes checked

theres a line, you cross it im not helping you. i can fully understand if you cant do something and need help but that is just plain lazy

I just factory reset and flashed the update zip again, with another reset on top for good measure. Wiping didnt work. Starting fresh did
