**DELAYED**Thunderbolt Firmware Upgrade (DELAYED ON MAY 4th))

Seems like this might be a bit different then the leaked update. How about the video recorder sound problem?

Yeahhhh. Where's the fix for the audio while video recording? Or the battery improvements? Come on nawww. My video camera is near useless until i can actually you know...hear stuff
 
Relax Guys, they don't always publicly list all of the fixes. They don't want to admit that the phone had X amount of issues. I'm sure the fixes you speak of are included, just not mentioned.

lol... okay. I'm relaxed now. I'm sure your right about not wanting to admit all of the issues.
 
Someone said its confirmed as the same build as the leaked ROM.

How long can Verizon take to actually roll it out? Can't be that many Thunderbolts out there can there?

Makes me more tempted to install the leaked one if its confirmed to be the same build, rather than wait forever. Is there any risk if using the leaked ROM of not being able to download future OTA updates?

I don't know where you guys are having problems with the video recorder sound. I have done a few recordings with my bolt one for 20 min when my son did that jedi experience thing at Hollywood studios Disney. They audio is great and I can upload the video if you like?

Mine didn't work b4 root either and even now that it works its quiet... But works.
 
They're gonna roll it out slow guys...I'd look for it to start hitting on Monday. And I'm not updating until I see a few positives from some forum members. My EVO went to toilet status after I was one of the first to update last year, this time I'll be patient.
 
When I check for updates the 4G LTE pops up on the top of my screen but I'm not in a 4G area, why??? Then it says "no new software update avail"

Has to touch the carrier network to see pending. More than likely it's cycling your data through 4g because your LTE/CDMA/EvDO selected in the phone options. The only way it knows there is no 4g in your area is if your radio looks for a transmitting signal.


Observation: On the update .pdf instructions Name = Mecha ..



They was right all along... ;)

I don't know why either. Sometimes mine works fine, other times it doesn't record sound loud enough to hear during playback. Hit or miss. When i first heard about the issue I thought I must have the magical Bolt cause mine doesn't have issues like others, but then it popped up at a bad time. :mad:
 
No push update yet.

A question- does anyone know if I will lose root if I do this update? I'm on stock ROM, but rooted.
