Help Delete Pics In A Text Thread?

So a friend and I were texting, and he sent a few images in it, they were labeled as a Slideshow, but only 1 pic in each slideshow.

how can I delete just those images without deleting the whole thread?

this is on my Evo.

can you explain, or give me a link that defines what mms and sms are, and what the SD card is?

sorry, not very android tech savvy :-)

Basically sms, are strictly text messages sent over the cell radio.

And mms are text messages with attachments such as pictures and whatever else sent over data (3G or 4G).

The sd card (micro sd card, in the case of the Evo4G) is the removable storage card that is under the battery. It stores data, pictures, music.:)

are those photos in the text thread taking up much space? I don't really have many other photos saved on my phone.

I went in to my photos and tried to find the ones in the thread, to delete them, but no luck.
 
just curious what messaging app are you using? i never really liked the stock app so i use GO SMS Pro, i do not have your phone activated any more but on my new phone when i get mms i can delete them by long pressing on the attachment and it will delete it.

and here is some definitions for you:

sms=short message service. this is the standard text messaging. no picture or videos are sent this way.

mms=multimedie messaging service. this is how you get pictures and short video clips sent to the phone.

the sd card(the phone uses a micro sd card) is a storage device very similar to a flash drive. the micro sd card that comes with the og evo is a class 4(this is a rating for the speed of the card) with 8g of storage space. this is where you can store music, pics, and videos for the most part. some apps will also use the sd card to store data as well.

it depends on how big the photo is, but in general photos do not use up a lot of space so you should be fine.
 
Right on, that worked! Not by pressing the attachment but the particular message that had the attachment. That brought up a menu where I could delete it :-)

OK, with photos or messages I can choose Send To SD Card. Should I store any photos there or just keep them on the Camera App?

i would move them to the card as the amount of internal storage is very small on the og evo. and also i would back the sd card content to a pc or somewhere on the cloud like dropbox for safe keeping.
