Root Delete Superuser????

How do I delete the superuser app from the app drawer? I want to return this useless piece of crap and go back to my useless Optimus, which did not require that I pay any more than I already have for crappy service on crappy hardware.

Can someone please help me? This thing will not delete from my app drawerr. I tried uninstalling it with LG home, I tried removing it with root explorer from the system/app directory, I tried to uninstall it with Titanium (it doesn't show), the option does not exist in the application settings. I tried to add a line to the batch file of the unrooter but that only removes the file from the system/app and that did not help either.

What else can I do? Has anyone every actually successfully removed this program from the phone, entirely? If so, how did you do it?
 
Did you put Root Explorer on R/W mode? It should be able to delete any app (even superuser)
 
The answer was pretty simple, I needed to do a factory reset after removing the APK. That took the superuser app out of the LG Home menu. Hope this helps someone else. Now I'm off to refund this piece of crap and get back on Optimus or buy a Samsung. That phone seems to have stable development, even though the esteem would be better if it actually worked. Still, I've struggled with LG for more than a year now. I'm never looking back -- unless something radical changes my mind in the next two hours.
 
I had the Optimus for more than a year and is a good phone but never will be half good as the Esteem is, the Indulge is a sh…t (used for a week and returned back) Just think again before making a mistake.
 
The optimus does more than the Esteem does. At least with Optimus I can use wifi and get the DSP plugin program working. This was a waste of time and money. So, I'll try to get a new esteem and see if the problems go away; I'll make sure I do a refund first and then buy again so they can't screw me like they did last time.

If they won't let me do that, which would not surprise me as they want to screw us after all, then I will refund and go back to Optimus. As soon as something better than metro comes along, I'm gone. If that doesn't happen, I'll watch the forums for a year before I buy a new phone. I thought reading this for a few months would prepare me to avoid LG's problems. Didn't help.
 
Why not explain whats going on and why you feel its a pile of crap? ...Maybe we can help with whatever is wrong...Its not a piece of crap actually. I love this phone. Best phone yet.

The problems you had with the Esteem I had it with the Optimus more than a year ago. I was one of the first people to buy the Optimus, still remember my first root was with Z4root, had to learn how to install QPST and LGNPST (had to install the last one more than 12 times to make it work) because at that time we didn

I've raised my issues in other parts of the forum and people here are helping me work on it. I am bitching about getting screwed by these crony companies constantly because I am frustrated. Everyone shutting up and continuing to allow their respective rapes solves nothing either.

Well Playfulgod and.mtmichaelson almost have cwm done sso soon we will have cm9 ICS with a custom kernel. That will fix all these problems everyone is having.

If you come from optimistic then you know how good playfulgod is at this.

I recommend that if you believe you have a lemon then exchange it like you said. If they give you a hard time doing it that way then return it and try buying it in another location. If it is giving you that many problems then you must have a lemon.

I hope you are right, and I have a lemon. When this happened with Optimus, I exchanged several times and I never got a decent phone. I am not going through that with the esteem. I hope that our developers can provide us relief, and I have faith they will. However, that will not stop me from being severely disappointed with Metro and LG for making it necessary for us to pass through such frustrating experiences.

Don't get me wrong, I've talked with fine people here and we have great developers and this has been a good experience in those senses. However, when I spend hundreds on a product and nearly a hundred a month on service -- for two lines -- I expect to get what I pay for. I am not paying 600 dollars for a phone and 130 dollars a month for service at T Mobile and other places are even more outrageous. I got cheap, reliable service in more than 14 other countries, I never paid for incoming calls, and I only ever had a contract in Korea and only twice of the several times I lived there and several phones I went through. What is wrong with the business in the United States?

I don't mean to ramble, but I believe someone needs to put these ideas out there for discussion.

I will have my phone exchanged tomorrow. If that does not work, I'll go back to my optimus and send this thing to LG. If they do not fix it to my satisfaction, I will consider suing LG and MetroPCS after I attempt to communicate with their stock holders, boards of directors, and other influential members of their respective corporate structures. If that communication is fruitless, I will look into the government's alphabet soup e.g. FTC, BBB, the several chambers of commerce before I consider lawsuits against both LG and MetroPCS. As an aside, most of these actions cost little or nothing -- save the lawsuits outside small claims court -- and anyone can undertake one or all of these these against almost any company.
 
i'm right there with ya as far as MetroPCS being sorry. worst customer service on the planet. they lie to your face. and for some reason they keep shutting my phone off every month on my old due date!?! i mean come on! the esteem is a great phone.best they have offered to date. i have had no problems at all with mine. i'm sure you just got a lemon. exchange it and hang in there. there are good things to come in the near future for this phone. and there are some awesome people here to help you out.

I don't think they lie so much as bs. You see, lies have some regard for the truth -- at least. BS does not. BS is whatever needs to be said to get what you want and is said without even considering whether one is telling the truth or lying. I had one guy tell me the wildfire S was a 3G phone; I could tell that he did not know if it was or not when he said it was -- it isn't.

Well said. my point exactly.

I THOUGHT this thread was a troll because the first post. But after reading, it became clear. Because i have seen many trolls just throwing mere nonsense to cause useless riots.

So i'm not saying that you are causing something. No, not at all. Many people have issues with their devices. But let me just recommend you. This esteem is beast if you get to know him.
 
I named mine Olga. Shes awesome. She does get perverted when she travels to those certain webs.....nevermind :D
