Help Deleted Gmail and download manager apps and can't get them back!

Yesterday, my phone lost data coverage as I tried to download a picture from Gmail. I shut off the phone when I went into a meeting and when I turned it back on later, the status screen showed "downloading". No matter what I did (swipe it away, reboot, battery pull) I could not get the "downloading" bar to go away. So annoying!

After doing some research here, I went into to settings/apps/all/ and did a force stop, clear cache, and disable to both my gmail and download apps.

This took care of the pesky "downloading" tab in the status but now it appears I have lost Gmail and the ability to download any future files. The Gmail icon has disappeared, and I can't find it in my apps list. When I try to save images via the browser, as soon as downloading begins, the browser crashes and says "unfortunately, the browser has stopped".

Any suggestions on a way to get these stock features back?

If you go back to settings-apps-all, you should be able to enable them again. They may have moved to the bottom of the list.

Wow! You were exactly right. I didn't even think to scroll all of the way to the bottom. There they were! I love this website thank to helpful people like you. Thank you so much!

Unless you are rooted I don't think the Gmail app can be deleted and even then you can't do it through settings. its still there somewhere. Look again under apps > all. Check the whole list slowly.
