How do i get the bugger back? I have no idea HOW I managed it. Late night, bourbon infused... things happen! the bar that pops up at the bottom when pressing the home key. Phone, Contacts, Messaging(missing, now a void), Apps.

I'm assuming you're using the TouchWiz launcher?

If so, go to Applications and click the little silver cog symbol in the upper left hand corner. Then you can locate the Messaging app, press and hold it, and procede to drag it to the bar at the bottom. You could also switch out any of the three left apps in the bar, if you liked. Once you've arranged things the way you like, tap Menu > Save to save it that way. (Or you can hit the Back button, or the Home button.)

Touchwiz, yes. I found a slightly different method to do it.call up the app list, hit the context button on the left of the 4 "hard" buttons. pick edit and fix it. Thanks thou Moon, that would have fixed me up.

Ah, alrighty, looks like a different way to bring up the same menu. And no problem, glad you were able to figure it out.
