I thought the Quick Remote on the G3 was supposed to be a significant upgrade over its G2 counterpart?

I saw the following article and wonder whether the advice it gives might be a solution for your issue - I've just checked, and QuickRemote is in the same list of apps on my phone as the Downloads app.

Did your LG G3 recommend you delete the Downloads app? Here's how to get it back | Android Central

Yes it sees the quickremote but it gives an error while installing error : -24

it's a system APK, you have to put it in the system/priv-app folder and reset the permissions.

Nice. Was just about to post the same but I'm glad you did instead because they moved the install location. I'm still on G2 and it's in /system/app. And yeah I'd say it was optimized/cleaned up a tad since my apk is 164.5 MB versus the G3's 6.33 MB.
