Root Deleted stock messaging app

Hey everyone I was going a little too free with titanium backup and never backed up my stock messaging app. Now I cant recieve any texts..... Ive lurked about and downloaded every mms.apk ive found, but none work. Is there an easy way to restore it i'm just not seeing? Either way apparently im not inctelligent enough for this... For any solutions that arise, can I get step-by-step instructions?
Thanks everyone,
hachetman bill

Have a look through this thread,I believe it will help you out. :)

I delete mine when I flash a new rom and just use Go SMS. Do you have any other messaging app installed?

I have nothing else installed but go sms pro. No roms either. Would flashing a rom solve my problem.

Just install handcent and go to menu>settings>application settings> default msg application and select sms&mms
This way you don't have to wipe everything.

Also, installing a ROM will fix your issue, should your choose to go that route

Have you tried downloading the .apk and moving it to the system folder like was suggested in the other thread?

Just flash a new rom. Rooting and staying with the stock rom is such a waste. backside cm7.2 soooooo much better than stock.

Can you teach me to install a new rom? I already backed up the stock rom, but thats it.
Firstly if you backed up your stock you can do a restore. If you do want to flash a custom ROM the instructions should be in the first post of the ROM thread.
