Root Deleting Roms from SD?

I was just wondering and this may be a dumb question but before I do it I was wondering once I backed up my Roms to my SD card clockwork mod/backup can I take out the Zips for it? or do I still need the zips installed on my SD card?

Yes, once you flash a .zip file (be it a custum ROM or an update.zip-type file (like rootme.zip, or engtools3.zip, etc.) from the /sdcard's top-level (root) folder, you can either move it somewhere else for safekeeping or delete it--it is not used / necessary for further operation of the phone.

also worth mentioning that you can delete old nandroid/clockwork backups that you don't want. it would be worth keeping your *original* stock nandroid, but once you find the rom you like you might as well get rid of all the others, or at least rename them properly so you can hop back easier.

+1...and if you do rename the Nandroid backup directories, be sure to NOT use spaces or ampersands in the filename.

Cheers!
