Root Deodexing GB.......

Mine did this too. So I am in the process of rebooting, but it is taking awhile, I am assuming this is normal.?.?
 
OK, so I did this manually with the directions that were posted and everything worked fine up to the end when I got the last step:

"mount -o ro,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system"
and it said that the device was busy.

So I went ahead and rebooted and have been sitting on the motorola logo for almost 10 minutes now. When do I do a battery pull and see what happens? I have a back-up if needed.

Yeah it will take a while. Everything worked fine on mine. But I did run "mount -o ro,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system" after the reboot just to ensure that it was read only.
 
Nice work Bouchigo. I came on to upload my deodex zip but you had me beat :D.

I'm assuming you've looked at framework-res at this point right. Funny how Moto left in all the other battery percentages.:eek:

yeah I saw that last night i was like "wa-wa-waaaaaa?!"
I wonder if we can get 5% changes made by changing the .xml files like was done to get 10%?
speaking of which, can we get 10% again now?
 
I am a little late to the game here but I got rooted GB loaded. Now do .zips get loaded through the DX or D2 bootstrapper? I'm a little confused about that.

Yeah, I saw that.

I also noticed that a lot of the apks are structured differently (a lot of png changes/relocation) like blurcontacts, blurphone, etc.....it's going to be a PIA (time consuming) to get old themes all set up for GB.

It seems like they forgot to clean up the framework after putting in their own images.

We can get 10% but we'd need the correct images. If anyone has the images, I can take care of it when I get home (if someone else hasn't done it yet).
I'll be adding the CRT animation as well...

do you know what file was changed in that CRT animation? so I know what I need to pull when making any changes. I havnt had the time yet to dig through it to see what he changed to add it.
