Desire FAQ

Anyone here knows the size of Desire's internal storage? Mine shows about 147mb. Was wondering if that is the standard and correct internal storage.

147mb is right, it's the space available for apps to run. It's not the total phone memory though, there are other partitions used by the Android OS, system stuff and recovery.

Maybe we can answer this question that I get asked an aweful lot.

"How do I remove the "bloatware " that carriers put on their phones, i need the space"

The answer is simple, you won't save space as the apps that come with the phone are on the system partition and not the user partition.

As I said, I get asked a lot.

I have installed games like nfs most wanted , real racing 3 and MC4. I have also saved the files required to play the games in sd card.. but the games dont detect the files from the sd card .. they just show the message that there no enough space to download the game. please help me out..
Thank you!!

@crt7981: I'd be slightly surprised if those games played on anything as old as a Desire (aka Bravo, 2010 model, which is the phone we discuss here: if you have a different Desire model you'd be better asking in the forum for that model). I can only guess that the game is expecting the files to be downloaded to the /data area, which you surely won't have space for on the original Desire.

@maliktahirfareed: never heard those exact symptoms. How old is your battery? It sounds like the phone thinks the battery is faulty, which if it's an old one is possible.

@RobDickson: you're right!
