Help Desire, Safe mode

can anyone tell me how to turn of the safe mode on my HTC desire

try turning it off then pressing the power button and the menu button at the same time.

i didnt even know there was a safemode

Maybe it means not to install non-Market applications?

Settings > Applications > Unknown sources ...

basically it disables all downloaded apps so if you have a problem with an app you can diagnose the problem.

i never knew this existed, i dont even know how to enable it. i class myself as an advanced user lol

edit: just found that powering off the device for 2 mins and restarting should clear the flag
you may well have a hardware button like menu or trackball that is causing a problem

check see if any if your trackball is stuck, because my phone had just did that and I popped it back up turned the phone back on and the 'safe mode' whent away!

My HTC desire is not getting out of safe mode even after factory resetting. volume up and down keys, menu key, home key, search key and track ball is not working. please help

Maybe your menu button is stuck on - that would force a boot into safe mode and probably interfere with other buttons.
