I've been searching for an eternity and can't seem to find an answer... is there any easy way to tell if it is ext4....? like a system file or something.... and I found that the kernel version is 3.0.8

Yep its ext4... I just looked in the updater script of the update I have... I have both the kernel and system but I'm afraid to flash it... should I use our updater script or should I use the one that came with the zip and remove the part that installs the recovery? (if I brick this I won't have another android for at least 6 months)

If you want to test it then open the file and remove the recovery and replace the updater-script with one for the warp and bam.... if it doesn't boot then either restore or re-install your rom of choice.

It didn't boot... I assume that we would need to some work... is there anyway to run a logcat before booting?

ok sounds good, maybe we can get a fully working port of 2.3.6.

Haven't got a clue how to get wifi to work, I'm looking into the RIL now hoping to possibly get it working.

Ok... so it didn't boot either... I can't really see what all has changed between the two because they are two entire roms... I will manually go through them to find the differences if possible... the funny thing is that the gingerbread rom is larger than the ics one... and both are at least 100mbs larger than our stock rom

The N850 rom is massive because sprint loves bloatware

i swapped out the libqmiservices.so hopefully it will pass the checks this time.

I really need to do some reading... by the end of the year I am determined to be able to understand and help out on some of the more complicated things... Im going to look into the wifi issue later if I can get back to my computer... have you tried using different kernels yet?

Okay, i swear i'm going to upload this rom lol. Made a few more edits to the RIL not sure if it will make a difference or not. but i will upload what i have so far soon as i test it.

upload may take a bit because i have cap on upload speeds.

EDIT: Fixed the keyboard issue, it now appears the correct size. So the stock keyboard was mdpi.

EDIT 2: Got me a copy of the N850 Ramdisk (Not saying how) but hopefully it will help with the wifi issues. It should make all the necessary folders and such for it.

Im currently fixing up a few things on the N880e roms... I think it has a true 4gb of internal memory... unlike us... the dalvik VM heap size was 256mb... any ideas as of how to get it to boot?

Edit: I managed to get it recognized by my computer... still won't get past the green android logo though...
