Root [DEVELOPERS ONLY] Start developing CM10 All SV Variants

you guys still working on this? i will need to reinstall linux, i just got a new rig. Got me a nice setup for building android Amd FX-6300 Vishera Black Edition (6 core), 8GB G.Skill DDR3 (1600mhz), Seagate Barracuda 1tb HDD, MSI 970A-G46 motherboard, and a Rosewill Stallion Series 600W PSU. i will be installing either linux mint or ubuntu and grabbing your device tree to try out. maybe once we get the 4.2 update we can get CM booted.

Why is it listed as android version 4.2 when this is the existing kernel we already have?
 
Nice rig...I am running mint right now and am liking it. I had a hard drive fail and lost my kernel I was working on with your oc tables. I will start again though.
 
lol just thought it was funny, wanted to make sure was hoping they released the 4.2 source on accident.....

Simon and I are working on a complete kernel rebuild, merging in device stuff to the msm8960 kernel. This will be for 4.3+. I have been working on device trees but can't continue until the kernel is finished, which Simon is doing. He's been having trouble finding time for it. You can play with these though:

Use my latest tree, the rebuild one. It most likely won't boot if it compiles though. But doesn't hurt to play with :)
 
Does the kernel build? i keep getting stopped on the kernel while trying to build it in-line. it doesn’t give much of an error, but thought i would throw that out. I’m just going to comment out the kernel section for now to make sure the device tree builds.
 
oh OK, figured you might be able to look over any edits done to get it booted, wasn't aware you knew about it. Just figured i would throw it out there :)
 
The good news, I'm at linker errors everyone. The bad news, I'm at linker errors everyone....

4.3 caf is coming along slowly though.. I may surprise myself and have it building by the end of the weekend. If not thanksgiving looks promising
 
and it boots, I like it better then 4.1 lol blink feed takes some getting used to but it seems smoother for sure. just need to get the radio at least working. Data is a diff story since the rom is for a GSM version of the device.
