Root Development progress on Cyanogenmod7/9/10 Updated: 5/10

Meh, it's all off topic now. But it gives us something to talk about as were patiently waiting. Gives.me a reason to.come back on here and have something to reply too instead of realizing the development is still dead for this phone lol.

It's not dead until it's actually dead.

How good is you battery life. I love this phone but the only thing that sucks is the battery life.

60 hours of light-moderate use isn't bad at all.

Haven't been able to really work on any CM builds due to a boat load of exams now and next week, and not being the owner of the phone anymore. One of my relatives uses the Elite now, so it

Please stay on topic. Developement discussions only!!! Thank You

....Well, through my recent research on the development of a new profound method of creating a superior Self contained underwater breathing apparatus, to make all others Obsolete. I stumbled across a befuddling new paradigm on how my endoplasmic reticulum was attacking the substantial portion of Lysergic acid diethylamide I had taken upon the fortnight before last.

What? Head hurt just reading this paragraph.

Man, if I had a nickel...

Just hopes and dreams.

You never know the crappy Optimus One and it's variants have quite a bit of "unofficial" support. The main issue is probably that we don't have a large enough user base yet but we have a lot newer hardware so I think porting would be easier.

Yeah, the elite being already on GB, I think at least CM7 should be doable. I wouldnt hold my breath for 9 or 10. Imo, I would prefer a solid cm7 versus three buggy CM's.

I wonder if there is a device similar to the Elite that ROMs would be portable from?

Well apparently to get the CM's to boot past the LG logo, is you have to pack and build the boot.img seperately from the CM build itself.

Not really sure. Look through this thread and there should be links to a few githubs of sourfe code for cm7 and cm9 builds if you wanna take a look. I believe giantpune had a booting cm7 but lots of problems with it. Cm9 fails to boot unless the boot.img is packed seperately and built differently I believe.

Anyone know the Github source code link for Giantpune CM7 build? Please post the link if you find it. Working on something at the moment.

Note: Experimenting with one of the builds

random question.. has anyone tried taking cyanogen source that already works, then pulling the drivers from GP's kernel and putting them in? Kernels are suppoelsed to be universal except for the drivers, thought I would throw this one out there.

Currently doing that now.
