Help Dialer

I'm not even sure where to begin. I've had this phone for only a week. When I pressed the "phone" button on the home screen, there was a different interface than what I see now. I was on the phone today and I went into my contacts while I was on the phone. When I hung up, the screen was different. I couldn't even find the "end" button. I am discovering the new interface for the "phone" button on the home screen is the "dialer" button. How do I get the original screen back?

Welcome Teeter,

I hope you don't mind. I moved this to where I thought you'd get more help. I don't fully understand your question but I'm going to take a shot. You have tabs at the top of your phone. The boxy tab is the dialer. Are you thinking of the tabs perhaps?

Just an unrelated tip for you: There is an app called Dialer One which gives you T9-search dialing.... it's really great and I'm not sure why android doesn't include such a feature as default. Give it a try sometime!
