Root Did Google Now Stop Working on ICS ?

I put WFTN on and it works but the cards don't come up either just a browser page with a smaller picture.

WFTN is a JB rom, so if you are logged into your Google account and have updated Google search to the latest version then everything should work. My issue is that voice commands with google now no longer work with ICS roms.

Yes I know that it doesn't work with ICS i was stating that it seems different on our JB roms too.

ugh, still a no go....what a shame, they must know about it this point. (I mean, come-on, its Google) I have some suspicion that it will not be resolved, and will be swept under the rug.

Unfortunately, a hacked unofficial version of GN is now broken. Considering Google has opted against official ICS support, there isn't much chance of a fix. As many have said, the iPhone get's it but ICS does not seems incredibly unfair.

Just tried mine with Unlocked Potential and it's working fine except for telling me that there's an update I can't download every time I launch it.

I had removed google now from Unlocked Potential but upon hearing this promising news I opted to flash mikeyxda_v7_Offline.zip. The voice commands work but they only provide web search results and no longer seem to have the capacity to launch apps. I have tried the following commands; "call john smith", "text john smith", "navigate to closest McDonalds", "Play Rolling stones" and all of the aforementioned commands just provide Google search results. Further the results of a search are no longer spoken. I flashed negalight-bluerom and had the same result. Google now still works as expected when using a JB rom, but now on ICS roms it is very limited and almost pointless. Looks like I will go back to using google voice search on Unlocked potential. Its not as streamlined as google now but voice commands work. Using Headset Button Controller and google now I had a good set up in my car where I could use voice commands to play specific artists/albums/songs, navigate to locations and make calls with out having to touch my phone. Google voice search will some times require a touch confirmation before carrying out your command and there is less audio feed back. I have tried a few JB roms which do reclaim that functionality, but I lose in a number of other areas. JB roms I found to be a bit slower and do not work as well with the games/emulators I have tried. I used to prefer DU as my JB rom but that now has changed since they added hybrid and halo features. WFTN is now my JB rom in of choice. Unlocked Potential HD is still my favorite rom overall.

I tried a few with the same results just brings up web pages and no voice response. It seems like someone must be working on it though. Last week it wouldn't even open. It's funny how you don't realize how much you use something until its gone. I'm finding out I used it quite a bit lol.

I installed Google voice search after removing google now. Its somewhat close to the same functionality in regards to commands and searches. It even provides voice results in the android browser when making queries, it just takes a bit longer for the voice to activate.
