Did VZW drop the mail in rebate?

what I dont understand is why you cant buy gas with these cards..I have a 35 gallon tank I could blow the bottom out of the MIR card in one stop.. but the above poster that said pay your bill with it has the best solution for these blasted cards..

Are you sure you can't buy fuel with them? $100 would go nicely in the gas tank, but I can always spend it on my bill and maybe a car dock.

Well from what I understand, there's a definite amount allocated to the card, but the issuing bank does not put restrictions on overdrafting (maybe there is an ultimate limit you can overdraft), but obviously it's always wise to shred and cancel all and any credit/debit cards you may no longer use.

Why take the chance?

The NEW credit/debit card rules prevent them from Overdrafting you now.:D
No more $59.00 bagels!! Yeaaaa

I would also think these cards from VW would also be like gift cards with a max you can spend being what is on the card. But I've never had one from them so can't say for sure.

If there were no mail-in rebate(if they'd waive it and make it instant) I'd buy the phone on the 15th at a Verizon Store but I guess I'll be ordering online and getting it on the 16th instead.

When you go to a gas pump the card is authorized for $1.00 and then is corrected later when the merchant reconciles, sometimes days later. So if you only had 1.00 left on the card you could conceivable fill your tank for 1.00.
