Did you vote? Will you?

People thinking voting changes thing, that it counts, since I was a teenager I have to beliefs about American politics 1) neither republican's nor democrats actually care about America, 2) the only good American politician is a dead American politician.
that is kind of dark.

i used to hate politics. but if anything that proves that voting counts look at the 2016 election. had there been more voters going to the polls, we would have undoubtedly had Clinton as president. but a lot of folks did not like her.....nor did they like trump....so much so that they stayed away from voting.

voting is one of the most American thing, a US citizen can do. i do not care who you vote for, but please take the time and vote.

and yes your vote counts

and as Amy Lee from Evanescence says......use your voice:

What @ocnbrze said!

Also, 'protest votes' are harmful. For example, let's say you're a staunch supporter of Candidate X, who did not get your party's nomination. So, mad at your party, you cast your vote for some obscure third-party candidate--who doesn't have an ice cube's chance in hell of winning. You feel good for that moment. But you know what it does? It takes away a vote for your party's nominee...and if enough people do that, s/he loses to the party you dislike. Is that really worth a moment of saying 'f--- you!' with your vote?

I'm going to the keep this here for now, but it had been travelling toward P&CA ville. I do want to encourage convo, but just a heads up that I'm watching for more red flags such as one a few posts back. Thanks.
