Didn't realized how good this phone was till. . .

Just came back from vacation in England and while there was using my Nexus S, and although it performed well, I missed my large screen MT. The only thing it did noticeably better was lock onto GPS signal faster, and the pictures taken by the Nexus are amazing. When I got home, as soon as I started using my MT, it felt faster and with more snap than the Nexus. The whole experience made me appreciate my Triumph more.

The corollary of course is, you can't appreciate how bad the phone is till you use one that works properly, on a network that has appropriate bandwidth.

It does work properly. Actually, better than just properly.
It's way fast, does what I need it to do, and it's pretty much trouble free and way tweakable.

Network?
Well that's a whole 'nother issue.

If you say so... Have you used a phone that actually had a working touchscreen? You will be able to tell the difference immensely...

Yes.
Apparently I'm in the minority, but my touch screen works great.
I don't use my phone for games, so the 2 finger, on-axis merging thing is something I have never encountered.
Always very responsive though.
Just Swyped this post with one thumb.

Minus the swype part, that is my experience as well. I do play games, but not ones that will, cause the snapping issue.

Well if you don't game and use swype or just one finger to type it isn't too bad except for an occasional not wanting to respond for a bit. But if you game or try typing really fast and your fingers touch the screen on the same axis it gets quite annoying... I'm not saying I don't like the MT, but it can just be annoying at times. Other than that it's a decent device IMO.

I use both thumbs to type and haven't had that issue.

Just lucky I guess?
I've tried to reproduce the green blob photo thing and just can't.
I use my canon slr for serious photography, and I do right much of that, but I find myself using this crappy phone camera allot too. It's definitely not great, but good enough for a phone for sure.

You will never convince the few truimph owners that this phone is not worth the 300 dollars they paid,so many of us have given up on it,and found much better phones and service elsewhere,we have found that yes you can get a stock android phone that works flawless with no hacks needed.i just feel for the few owners of this sup par phone, when after the warranty is up,and it's shabby build quality starts rearing i'ts ugly head, and VM will not replace it anymore,i guess by then this will be a fifty dollar phone,so replacing it multiple times may need be to bad.

You won't convince this one, for a fact. Never been replaced. Same one I got when they were released.
But yeah, won't be long until it's a fifty dollar phone. Technology is like that.
Got friends with contract phones who *wish* they had this phone.
No phone is trouble free, judging by these forums.
Bang for the buck, I just don't see how you could do better... maybe in a month or two, we'll see.

Well, okay . . . I guess I'll chime in.
I've been running stock on my Triumph since I got it last July when they came out. Never saw a reason to mod since it did everything it said it would perfectly. Never had a problem with it in almost a year and I've used this phone way more than I've ever used a phone before.
I'm on the stock keyboard and I've never had it type different letters other than the ones my fingers have hit accidentally. And as a writer, I've gotten really good at typing with my two thumbs. I can now type multiple paragraphs without a mistake. So it's not my keyboard.
The touch screen for me has worked almost flawlessly. Rarely do I press it and it doesn't work. But I've watched it not respond on occasion on my friends' iPhones and higher end Android phones, too.
The boards talk about the green blob on the camera. Never seen it. Trying to find a house for my friend to move into, I've shot video and stills inside and out of many homes, some with florescent lights, and everything's come out fine. And adding LGCamcorder has allowed me to change the audio to make it sound good without over modulating, too.
I just took a two week trip up and down the east coast and decided I'd try to use the Triumph as my portable PC and leave the laptop home. Guess what? It worked. And except for a complete lack of signal on I-77 in northern North Carolina, I had no problem streaming music, videos, sending texts, surfing the internet and making calls.
As always, I'll finish by saying I understand a good many people on these posts got bad phones. And I'll agree that quality control was not a priority when they manufactured the Triumph. But there are more than just a few people who have phones that work the way they are supposed to.
We just don't normally feel the need to comment because we got what we paid for and we're extremely happy with our Motorola Triumphs.

Question are you running stock, and if not does every option the phone has works flawless,GPS,WIFI,HDMI,because everyone claiming this phone is so great have custom Roms, and have no issues will also turn around and say i do not use that feature of the phone,on the truimph.so i guess if some feel 300 dollars is a great price so be it.when you can come up with a dozen truimph owners running stock with 0 issues your all phone have issues claims will hold some value,

and the GPS locks in seconds.

I also got my phone around the time it was released and don't have a single issue with mine. GPS locks with in seconds, wifi works great and Bluetooth has never lost connection to any of my game pads. Like the other poster said, people satisfied with their phone seldom find the need to post about how everything is ok for them.

Question are you running stock,

Not at the moment.

and if not does every option the phone has works flawless,GPS,WIFI,HDMI,

I assume you know that hdmi is not currently working in CM7 (sounds like the guys are about to nail it though). I restore one of the roms on my SD card if needed. I think I may have used it 3 times since I've had this device.
And "flawless" is a pretty high bar there, dude... but yes, I can pretty much say flawless, I guess. At least as flawless as any of my tech stuff.

because everyone claiming this phone is so great have custom Roms, and have no issues will also turn around and say i do not use that feature of the phone,on the truimph.

I love CM7. So much faster, and more customizable than stock. Is your Rezound running stock?
Ooh crap... I ALMOST said I don't use the hdmi feature. Damn, you got me. :D

so i guess if some feel 300 dollars is a great price so be it.when you can come up with a dozen truimph owners running stock with 0 issues your all phone have issues claims will hold some value,

There's almost that many that posted in this thread alone.

I feel so warm, fuzzy and validated now! :D

C'mon Lou... do you just hang around here to bash the Triumph, and try to convince people how they got screwed and are just deceiving themselves? That their phone really doesn't work? That they really *are* unhappy with it, if only they could see through the blinding glare of their own ignorance?
If we all could just see the error of our ways...

:D
