I installed the Sense 3.5 rom and was not impressed. I am not certain of all the extra features, all I truly saw was the main widget for the home screen that is a new feature. If you select an app it opens up like a "drawer" to the right. It also has the time and weather on the right towards the bottom. With this widget you are only able to have 5 apps or so from on the screen from what I can recall. As soon as I had a chance to see what if offered I was dissapointed and back to Sense 3.
There is 2 versions of sense 3.5 (atleast its how i view it.)
The Bliss based roms have sense 3.5 that was designed for the HTC Bliss (the phone targeted towards women.) This one has the two buttons in the dock and differnet color schemes (I didn't use it long so didn't pay attention to much.)
The Runnymede (sp) based roms are sense 3.5 which seem to stay true to the sense style of the past.
Not sure if this will help but noting that there are two types of sense 3.5 out their should help.
