Help Different Alerts for Email and Text?

I've searched through the other threads regarding this, but it's not really working. How do I get separate notifications for email and text on my DINC? It's driving me crazy.

This is the one thing I miss from my BlackBerry.

Go into the settings of the messaging app and change the notification sound there. Then you will be using default notification of the email app (since it doesnt have a specific option in its settings to specify notification sound) and a different, user selected one for texts.
