Dinc to Dinc2

I have had the original Dinc since last year. I like this phone alot and am wishing to try out the Dinc2. I know I missed the Friday Verizon free if I signed another 2 year contract, but I am not willing to sign a contract for the Dinc2.

I tried out the Rezound last week and liked it alot but I took it back since I wanted something smaller.

My questions are:
1) Have you bought this phone from ebay with a legitimate ESN? I am worried about getting a phone that won't activate on my verizon account.
2) Has anyone gotten their Dinc2 this way? What was your experience?

I see phones from 200+ for the Dinc2 and this is a cost that I am willing to do while I wait for a new phone middle of next year. Thanks for your responses.

Be careful. Make sure the seller has a good reputation and long. Make sure you get the ESN (pics would be good) and check with VZ to make sure it is clean before buying. Then roll the dice.
I can't help but think there is a better way for you though.

If the seller did not post the esn of the phone in the listing (which I would think they should if it is legit) contact them to give it to you. If they didn't post it and/or don't want to give it to you after asking for it, don't waste your time/money.
Now, if they posted it and/or give it to you after asking for it, call Verizon and tell them you want to do an esn check. You don't have to have an account with them to do this. Make sure you confirm the model of the phone with Verizon, to make sure they didn't give you the clear esn of another phone. Then ask them, so if i buy this hTC Droid incredible 2 i will be able to activate it on my account...
You will have to get the esn yourself and call and check it yourself to be 100% sure you can use it. Don't take their word for it.
Happy hunting!

I've bought two used phones online. One was from a user on a forum. The other was from ebay. Both of them had clean ESNs per VZW. One of them I couldn't activate because it had been stolen, but not reported and the other one worked just fine. I'd just make sure you buy from a reputable seller and would be skeptical about people who don't sell phones for a living.
