Disable app update notification?

I disabled auto app update, which was driving me nuts, but i still get the "updates found" notification occasionaly and id like to get rid of that too.

How do i do this?

And yeh i am rooted

Open the Market app, go to Menu, Settings and disable Notifications.

Any way of stopping individual applications from appearing in the list of updates found? I have some that I refuse to update as I'm not happy with the new update for some reason (like bad permissions etc). I don't want my phone to check for them anymore.

Not sure about if the notification is pushed from Play Store or is pushed from the app which has to offer an update.

If the app push this update notification by itself, you could use the app 'Notification History'.
This app is able to suppress the notifications of choosen apps.
