Help Disable QSlide?

MykeHawke

Newbie
Has anyone successfully removed QSlide on a F7? The forums have some APKs for other phones, but didn't know if it would work for the F7. And yes, I am rooted

Why would you want to remove it?

Because I have no desire to use the stock browser, use the calendar & calculator app maybe 3 times a year and think I've used Memo once in the last 3 years. All of these apps are easily accessible from the home screen and I would much rather have the extra space back for notifications.

Ohh, idk it could break the status bar if you removed the qslide apps. Your best bet would be to remove it from the status bar_expanded.XML inside a decompiled systemui.apk. guessing you don't know how to do that... If not you'll have to wait till I get the phone or maybe some else will get on that for you before I do.

Now that I think of it, its probably gonna be hard to remove. Goota start from the phonestatusbarservice.smali which is never a awesome place to decode something lol.

You can use the edit option for q slide and uncheck all of the apps, thus disabling qslide .

Why would you want to delete it anyways? It's an awesome addition, plus this it's a 4.7 inch screen with PLENTY of room for notifications. And there are quick toggles...I just don't get it..your preference.

I would like to disable it Cuz one, I don't use any of those apps other then the calculation and I found a better way to activate it, and too its only the stock apps, it would be better if u could pick witch apps it applied too
