disappointed with epic's camera

thanks for the props on the photo. Was just thinking if it had some more res, I might actually be able to take a panorama with the phone that's could have some printability to it. Not blown up, but a 4x10 would be nice. could even stack two 4x10's. Take the one panaorma low, and the other high and then mount them for a cool pic. I have decent pany and canon point and shoots and neither do panoramas as seamlessly as the Epic, unless I'm missing something. Will have to play around. Because then I'm definitely taking it to a playoff game. Go Phils!!!

Are you tapping the focus area on the screen? If not, your photo will be out of focus.

I never tap the screen for it to focus. And my epic does not go out of focus:D Maybe there shaking to much...U have to stay still, even after u press the shoot icon ;) theres a little delay.

Nice shot by the way dbpaddler

heres a panorama i took the other day, really hope a software update can enable something higher than .3 mp for special shots

can someone tell me how to take pics of my baby or dog without getting blurry shots. I know to autofocus it, and my shots come out great when i take them of people or things, but the baby and dog don't sit still, by the time the camera snaps the picture, the baby or dog have moved slightly and i get blurry pictures. on my regular camera this doesn't happen. I have auto iso set, do I just have to select high iso all the time? I hate to do that because shouldn't auto iso be doing that? I have blink detection, antishake and face detection set.

Press left arrow, press the gear at the bottom left. Press Scene and choose Sports. That should help. Should choose a faster shutter to freeze their motion. Though faster shutter means you need better light so don't expect dim indoor shots to look great. auto ISO is just for lighting, not for the subject.

I am very impressed with the camera on the Epic. It does very well in outdoor bright light conditions. When you are indoors under low light conditions, it isn't great, but that is expected. Focus is no problem as long as you use the camera properly. I see a lot of people move the camera too fast after the photo is taken. You really have to hold still for about a second after the flash pops to make sure you don't get motion blur.
