Sorry I meant that the problem may occur if another option besides ext4 was selected.. however I think that its more likely that link2sd would not install apps to your phone at all.

Thinking about this issue leads me to suggest posting your brand and size sdcard and more importantly the class? Also the launcher you are using and whether or not said launcher is installed on the sdcard or on the partition of internal space? If you use a launcher like go launcher and it has the option to restart it do your widgets and apps reappear?

All these questions stem from a theory that perhaps the sdcard is not loading these apps quickly enough to be recognized by the launcher.

To recap for clarity's sake here is what I use without problems. Please only post this info if you are having issues with apps installed via link2sd not showing up.

Transcendence class 6, 32 gb sdcard.

Go launcher installed to the sdcard (though this is not recommended.. it works fine for me.. I just never bothered changing it.)

I have no issues before or after restarting my launcher app.

I am on beta 4 but only because I'm a tester and I like teasing ppl. :D

I'm finally giving the TU the EOL tag and getting something with some speed. Good luck all on future roms. I'm not sure what I will do with this phone now, but I won't be using it anymore that's for sure.
 
This is off topic but those anyone know any website where I could buy a cheap replacement battery? Mine sucks now, it drains in just 2 hours. I mean I know I can get them off eBay but how do I know who to trust? I'm not too familiar with that site.
