First off open the terminal emulator app on your phone, it was provided as a system app in megatron.

1. Type in "su" (for super user access)
2. Type "getprop ril.MSL" (then enter to get you Device's MSLcode)

Do it exactly as seen above make sure the MSL is in caps at the end.
You will then get a reply with a number, thats your msl code it is an important 6 digit number.

Go to your dialer pad and type ##3282#
Tap Edit and enter your MSL Number
Find and tap on MMSC URL
Change the address to http://mms.sprintpcs.com
If your using Ting as your service provider please use this address http://mms.plspictures.com
Tap ok hit the home button and reboot. Mms and sms should start working.

From the 3rd OP, This description tells how to fix the MSL so texting will work. Well, recently the texting on my phone (Running Megatron ROM) stopped working. so I went through the above steps, and when I typed in #2 above and hit enter, I was greeted with a blank line, then the # for the next command to enter.

Is there any other suggestions for fixing my texting ability? The only thing I recently did was install Chomp SMS, based on the recommendation of some people on this forum. Don't know if that messed up anything or not.

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.

you can try this (How to get your MSL Code for the ZTE Warp Without having to call up boost or rooting - YouTube) to get your msl code and then edit your MMSC URL

althogh i do believe that this fix is only for mms issues not sms issues so it may not even fix your problem but give a try

Im currently rebuilding it for the Marquee right now, i plan to update the Transform ultra to 6.2.0 as well. Once im done with that i'll start with the prevail. I'll be busy for the next 3 weeks so dont expect 6.2.0 for the prevail until like early july.

Trouble with MMS

When I try to edit to the http://mms.sprintpcs.com it will not change. It is set for boost mobile? I have edited it several times. i hit enter and it just stays set for a boost mobile option? I put http://mms.sprintpcs.com in and hit enter then hit home and then reboot. When I return to edit screen after restarting it is back on boost mobile? Is there another option where I can change this setting? or am I flubbling up an important step?
 
ok so heres what i got over the past few days, I've successfully rebuild the from from SPRINT ZVC i know you guys are happy about that one lol, tethering for everyone. anyway no bugs in this build whatsoever except for this minor one. Every time that the phone is booting up, the statusbar will NOT Appear on boot very fast. It could take seconds to come up or even up to 2-3 minutes for it to appear but once it comes up it will stay there for good unless of course you reboot the phone then you have to wait for it to come up again. This is a problem with the Toogles due to it calling for another app in the system.


Now heres what i can do, i can

A: Release the Rom with that minor problem
B: fix up lidroid to work with UOT and forget about the 6.2.0 toogles
C: Make both versions available for user

Vote A, B, or C please

What do you mean by releasing both versions, one with libdroid and one with toggle buttons?

Personally, i'd rather have a quick start after booting, but then again, I don't really know what a toogle is, or if it's worth the wait.

So if you weren't offering both, I'd probably go for B. But since you're offering both, I'll go ahead and vote for C so I can find out if the toogles are worth it. :cool:
 
I think C sounds like the best option as it still allows the user to have a choice. I love these polls you do chev you let the users decide and I think that's awesome.
 
C. It would be nice to have it so we can use UOT. I like to theme with UOT.

Having both would satisfy everyone. :D
 
C it is then, just need to work on power menu and finish the main themes. MIUI for the toogles and TouchWiz for lidroid version. Aiming for mid next week for release cause I will be busy for 2 weeks studying the books for finals.

He posted his reply on Sunday and said middle of next week. June 5th is the middle of THIS week. ... And like Inkrypted said, let's not nail him down to a specific time.

I'm just as excited as the next guy to see the new version, but let's have some patience and understanding of the effort put into this and express our gratitude when we do get a chance to use the new ROM.

Take your time chev and we'll be patient :-). Thanks, I'm really looking forward to seeing what you have done with it.
