I would if the app didn't close almost imediatly after opening it. Following with a pop up that says along the lines of " can't connect to data network. You don't have the service plan for wireless/USB tethering."

Make sure WiFi is off and data is aka 3g/4g icon is up and running.

Doesn't matter if WiFi is on our off. It will keep pushing me away with the error code, too.
I even tried wiping data from the app itself in settings and refreshing it, along with the tender app (portable AND tether app)... Still won't work. However, it worked before at one point... Not now, though.
 
I screwed my phone up bad. In trying to get my phone a fresh sim rom in order to get wireless tether going again i managed to brick it. i first wiped the cache partition than tried to reinstall simplicity and it keeps aborting installation. the error message was (bad).

Zip is corrupt, download it again.
 
The WiFi tether won't work I followed the instructions on the OP and I wiped the data but it gives me error code you are not subscribed to tethering and USB plans contact your phone company

Is there a way to. Clear the cache partion with out going into recover. I clear it atleast once a month when i cant stand my phone beign slow any more.

Nope gotta go into recovery. The system uses /cache partition as RAM. If you screwed that up trying to clear it while the phone is on you could crash your phone.
 
Chevan your awesome! Once I'm working again I plan to make another donation. Everyone, after he thought I was deliberately spamming him he still went out of his way to help! While he does fairly ask for donations when he helps it is genuinely to help without expectation of reward.

I too am experienceing the same thing. This used to work fine but when i tried yesterday i get:

Network Error

Unable to connect to data network. You may not be subscribed to the data plan for hotspot and USB tether service. PLease contact your phone company.

I get this when i open the Portable Wifi Hotspot app.

Ok so two things could of happened here, i could of unknowingly broke the tethering feature since the 1.0.4 update or boost probably did some stuff on their end and killed it off. Cant test right now since my F7 isnt activated but it will be fixed 3.0.0, if there is a 3.0.0.

Thanks for all your efforts Chev. Quick question, even if you don't continue supporting simplicity ROM will cm11 still ever come to the f7?
 
I tried searching around everywhere online, so im back here. I have boost. I have simplicityxl installed. I have for a while. I just noticed that ive been getting a lot of missed calls, and no voicemails. Went to check it today, and i had 34 voicemails. I havnt had any notifications. I went into settings/calll/voicemail. When I click on voicemail, it just simply says "Application is not installed". Now, I can check my voicemails by going to my dialer, and holding 1. But im getting no notifications. I even have an app that says voicemail on my phone, but when i look into my phones installed apps, there is nothing called voicemail in there. I'm completely baffled. Anyone have the original .apk or any suggestions? I just want to know when I have a voicemail. This is driving me nuts. Thanks everyone.

That's hard to answer, Its really Death2all's project and we worked on it a whole lot last month trying to get it to boot but no success yet. We figured it would be easier when/if we get the update to KK from LG. So as i far as i see it the CM11 project is on hold until KK. If we get no KK, then Death2all will decide what he wants to do.

While installing Simplicity, you had an option of choosing to add the voice mail app back it the ROM. It's considered bloatware to me so its probably under that list, just re-install the ROM and read and make sure you check what you need.
