Root {DISCONTINUED} SimplicityXL V3.0.0 {RELEASED 10/29/14}

Would be nice if someone can guide me through this. This is my first time Installing a custom rom

Okay first of all I am going to assume that you have CWM flashed and an unlocked bootloader.
1. You have to download the file and push it to your sdcard.
2. Reboot into recovery via adb or rebooter app
3. Make a nandroid backup (takes a while but worth it incase you screw up)
4. Once done go to install zip and navigate to sdcard where you pushed the zip file and select it.
5. Once it finishes flashing it is obligatory to wipe data/cache as well as dalvik cache (which is found on the advanced tab)
6. Now you can reboot and enjoy your rom (first boot always takes longer than the others due to wiping dalvik)

I am not responsible if you end up screwing up your device.

This forum has an entire thread dedicated to unlocking the L70's bootloader:
http://androidforums.com/l70-all-things-root/862585-unlock-ms323-lg-l70-bootloader-unlock.html
Alternatively if you want a more automated experience you can use the tool you find in this thread: http://androidforums.com/l70-all-things-root/863389-tool-lg-laf-recovery-multitool-v1-2-a.html
Make sure you follow the instructions step-by-step tho and read everything.

Yes you can use that if you have the MetroPCS version.

EDIT:Sorry I misunderstood the question, the download can be found on the second link, and the tool will automate the flashing just be sure to put the downloaded file in the same folder you put the tool then run it.

has anyone had the problem of forcing closure of mms.apk ??? happens to me even if I install the Cyanogenmod mms.apk! there will be some solution?

so my lg l70 ms32310b has the bootloader unlocked, root access, and cwm. I installed zip and after setting up the launcher preferemces it started installing... but its still at 0.00% and its been a half hour or so. I'm a noob so I'm pretty lost. what I should do if it doesn't install? Im sure im getting worried over nothing but a little insight would be a relief lol

That happened to me....I did a battery pull and rebooted the device. Then back into recovery and flash the zip again

bootloader unlocked, cwm installed, all systems are check, but it is stuck at 0.00%. Should I just power off? It has been over an hour now. Any suggestions?
