Root Discontinued so quick. Why?

I can understand newer and better phones coming out quickly but i don't understand why metro discontinues them after several months. Seems like having more options for a 4g phone would make them more money. Cause they have only had 3 4g phones at the same time at any given time.

Indulge was recently discontinued and now the esteem. Makes no sense to me. Idk
 
Discontinued the esteem too? Stopping by my buds metro store today will ask if that means price drop:D
 
It was on their website this morning.. Raised the price on it I believe.. I know it was moved away from the connect though..

Edit: both the connect and esteem are 319 after 30 mail in rebate on the website..

Edit edit: can't order it online from there though.. No add to cart option.. Just an in stores option.. But keep reading this forum as there are a few posts as in its not being discontinued..

Esteem is not discontinued ..but indulge is.

Like my guy said tax time they usually raise the cost:mad:

Yeah the indulge is. What I meant about the Esteem is it's about to be discontinued. You can't buy it online anymore, only in the store. So whatever is in the store is what's left. My buddy that works there told me that they are discontinuing it, then I check the site and you can't buy it online anymore so i figured he was right. I don't know, that's what he said. It's not discontinued right now but it's on it's way.
 
because if they discontinue it they can "force" you to buy a new phone if you want an upgrade in os. unless of course you get the upgrade by flashing it lol. but think of how many people that dont or wont root. they sticking it to them.
 
Didn't even notice you couldn't order it online.. They've only had it for like four months.. :( well hopefully some dev's bless us a little more before everyone jumps ship.. I'm one of the lucky ones who has had no issues..

The esteem is not discontinued. The production of indulges are no longer being done but there are several still being shipped to stores for sale until they're completely sold out.

And that's business. Low end models usually stick around longer but just as higher end devices, they change or implement something new or different, they in a way have to.Manufactors need to keep changing astetics/features to keep drawing new and existing consumers in. Just like cars, every year theres a new model. Lol :rolleyes:
 
This has just gone berserk. Raising the esteem prizes , how a smart move. Now that more upcoming phones are coming they will most likely do some changes in under their sleeves . Be assured
 
trying to improve revenue and reduce high end options to volte with cat3, u know when u have no option. you buy whats available=]

When you go to buy it online what does it say? In Stores. NOT add to cart.

That's what I was saying when you can't buy it online anymore. I NEVER said it WASN'T online :)


Everyone needs to read before posting. Went to Metro yesterday and they said "The Esteem will be discontinued within the next month". I'm just going by what Metro tells me people. Jeeez :D
 
Called Metro to switch my account funds and asked when I was on the phone about the Esteem and why I couldn't buy it online anymore. She confirmed what the store told me yesterday. IDK. Metro is stupid so what they say can't be taken seriously, Im just repeating it.

Hehe metro needs to get it together.. Called a corporate store and asked them if it was being discontinued.. They said no its just on backorder and that's why you can't buy it online and very few stores have them right now.. The world may never know lol

Exactly. They are freaking crazy. I never actually took what they said serious but you never know. I don't believe shit until i see it anyways. I just originally though it was interesting that they said that to begin with. I don't know. :cool:
