The current Razr Maxx is running the same OS as the Razr Maxx HD will be, right?
I think the word is that the HDs will release with ICS and get an update to JB by the end of the year.

Finally things are starting to come together. Now I just have to decide whether the extra $100 is worth it for the 3300mAh battery and 16 extra GB of internal memory. Or just get the 16GB Galaxy S3 + a 32GB SD card for about $260. This is definitely something I will have to decide when I go to the Verizon store and personally play with these phones. I'd say so. The battery is not removable, and they deteriorate after time. The bigger battery will last longer than the standard RHD after two years (common sense, but it won't last as long as brand new).
BTW it seems the LG Nexus is real for anyone interested. Looks underwhelming too, I guess RHD, here I come!
I'd agree...no sd, non-removable battery that will likely be 2500 or smaller. Throw in the fact it's LG... I'll pass. HTC One X+, fixed small battery and no SD either, but at least there is the 64gb version. No on that one also.
Now, what about that HTC DLX with S4 Pro, 5" screen w/full HD, 1.5gb ram, 12mp camera? SD support is unknown and will have a fixed 2500 battery. 2500 isn't much for 5" and LTE.
Galaxy Note 2? It's got everything. Quad core, SD card, removable battery, excellent screen. However, need to see the reviews on the radios and physically get my hand on one as opposed to around one. Might be too big! Samy makes a powerful device, but S3 radio sucked and the screen was dim.
I'll look over those 3 devices and go with one: RHD, DLX, or Note 2. I hope specs are out for the DLX by end of October. Leaning towards the GN2 over the RHD IF it isn't too big, big IF.
I was only wonder because when I go to Verizon and play with the Razr Maxx at the Verizon, I know that I am essentially using the same thing as the Razr Maxx HD except the HD has the bigger, better screen and a slightly faster processor.
Just saw a tweet from Verizon saying both phones to be released 10/18.

Oh, and I'll take partial credit for this release. I had given my Maxx to my wife and just bought another one for myself YESTERDAY thinking the HD wouldn't be out for another month at least. You're all welcome.
....I see no glaring weakness on this phone.
The camera?

This is excellent news, just excellent.
As most of you who have seen my posts earlier know, I've been patiently/impatiently waiting for the release of these phones. (Mom always said, "Good things come to those who wait.") Well, I waited and as most of you know, Moms are pretty smart.
I'll try to head over to the corp Verizon store on the 18th, but if it turns out I don't make it, what's a few more days right?
It'll be the Maxx HD for me. I've had my upgrade available since March. My wifes and daughters upgrades aren't available until December, but then they'll be getting iPhone 5's. (sorry, didn't mean to swear)
So, I do have a question that is slightly off-topic. What's the advantage or the reason for having a non-removable battery? Cheaper to manufacture, or what. It seams that with a non-removable battery they would lose lots of sales from customers who would purchase extra batteries.
Anyway, I'm glad the time is almost upon us. :smokingsomb:
What exactly would we be waiting on for the next Nexus?
