Help Displaying pictures on Xoom

Is it possible to load some pictures from an external device onto the Xoom and display them in a slideshow without a connection?

Being into photography, one of the applications I'm looking for in a tablet is to load some jpegs onto the tablet and display them. A mobile portfolio kind of thing. Being mobile, I may not always be in a place where I can be connected online. Which is why I don't want to just upload them to a website and display them that way.

right now that functionality is not available but as amatherly alluded to its forthcoming in the update that includes the sd card slot activation.

This one is easy...well sort of. If you want to load directly from an external device (plug a usb drive into the Xoom) I don't think that can be done yet. But you can plug your Xoom into your PC via the included USB cable. When you open up the folders on the Xoom, you will see a Pictures folder already there. Copy the photos you want onto the Xoom (I usually organize them into subfolders with in the Pictures Folder).

Now just open the Gallery App (already loaded on the Xoom) Choose the folder you want to look at, and there is a play button in the upper right corner to play a slideshow.

Yup, I have done this and it works fine. Keep in mind though that there is some strangeness with the Gallery app that makes pics look fuzzy, not sharp at all. They are acceptable if you are not too close to it though.
