On about 30% of all calls received or made I have to disconnect the call immediately as the audio is totally unrecognisable. It sounds like a cross between a fax machine and someone trying to speak while drinking a glass of water. Has anyone else experienced similar problems with their HTC phone?

that sounds like a problem with 3g hsdpa on your network
try changing to 2g only and do some tests
