Root Do all stock features work with Gingerbreak?

I am desperately in need of more room and am sick and tired of choosing which app I like must be deleted so I can try something else out. I wanted to get a quick confirmation before I move forward with the Gingerbreak root. In the past I have read several other root methods "breaking" certain items such as MMS or bluetooth. Has this been resolved with Gingerbreak? Will all my current stock features work? TIA

Go here and read all the posts in the thread http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-...ide-rooting-without-computer.html#post2985787 . Don't use the sticky at the top of the All things root section as the information is incomplete and you could mess up your phone. This exploit will do no harm what so ever to your phone,it is the safest out there. Especially if you follow the directions in the above mentioned thread.

Harmonia 1.3 has the most app space available, and will allow you to move apps to the sd card you couldn't before.

JerryScript has a ROM that has an option in it to make all downloaded apps go to the sd card first. I have a total of 99 downloaded apps. 24 downloaded apps on the phone because they work better there. 75 that are on the sd card. I have a total of 123.34MB still left.

Harmonia is a Froyo based ROM.
BACKside is a Gingerbread based ROM

Hope this info. has helped.

Just to be clear. Gingerbreak (or any method of rooting) won't break features, right? It's just allowing access to the file system. It's only certain ROMS that may have broken or unfinished features.

Also, moving apps with widgets will still break their widgets, right?

CORRECT. Apps with widgets or widget apps will not quite work as designed if they are on the sd card. One of the reasons I have 24 apps on the phone, and not 0.

i have no problems with widgets from apps that are linked to sd... that said i do leave a few on the phone... fancy widgets, sms unread count, a custom analog clock widget i use on my lockscreen...

and of course widgetlocker, smart keyboard pro, and all my launchers are left on the phone too

also i should mention this is with link2sd... using the regular move to sd feature will always break widgets
