Why not just back everything up with Titanium anyways? I always back everything up, including a nandroid, before changing anything with ROMs and kernels. Overkill at times? Probably, but it is an awfully nice safety net.

Its never a bad idea to back up your apps and data with titanium. Flashing fresh over fresh will sometimes result in loss of widgets and overall customization...apps SHOULD remain. Its safe to create a backup with titanium and always make a nandroid backup
