Root Do I extract or dl system.img?

Do I need to download the latest system.img? or do I extract it from my phone?

Or can I use one of my downloaded roms to get system.img?

(Wanting to mess around with custom rom build, removing unneccesary apps/such)

do a nandroid back up of your 100% stock rom and pull the nandroid folder out. it will give you boot.img system.img cache.img and data.img all you need is the 1st two.

yes. unyaffs should work fine

win7 dual boot ubuntu i can use either. probably gonna do this through windows though
