Do they make an AV Cable with charging capability?

Good afternoon all!

Depending on what news comes out of Apple HQ on the 11th, I very well may be looking to make the switch to an Android phone. I am seriously considering the Galaxy Note. Here is my main question...

Do they make an AV Cable that plugs into the mini USB port and comes out to composite (red/white/yellow) cables as well as USB for charging?

I have my iPhone setup to play through my stereo system in my truck, and I want to be able to do the same with the Note. This is almost a deal breaker for me, so I hope there is something out there, I just haven't been able to find one yet.

I appreciate any input you may have.

I'm not aware of such a device for the USB port of the Note. I do know that there are a few Android phones that provide HDMI out which I'm sure you could convert to whatever format you need but the Note is not one of them...

This information is not correct, the Note supports MHL. Which means that you can connect your Note to an HDTV with an MHL adapter, and HDMI cable.

@OP if you're looking for a standard AV cable that will charge your Note, you may be out of luck. As far as I know they don't make one. Although, if you want to hook it up through an HDMI cable, you can buy an MHL adapter on Amazon for around $15.

I actually got to play with a Note and one of those MHL cables today. The MHL adapter plugs into the miniUSB and has outputs of HDMI and miniUSB. I didnt get to test the HDMI output (didnt have a cable with me) but plugging in an USB power cable did start charging the phone.

I did find (on Amazon too) a HDMI to component/composite converter box that may possibly work to get audio to my deck. That will be the next test. Of course, it requires a 5v power source. So, looks like I will need to make a way to power it from either my battery or from my fuse block.
