Ditto on both counts, although it's worth noting that ELB is based on Cyanogenmod, and the next major release of that will be built on top of Froyo, so there may not be any need to leave ELB behind to get that 2.2 goodness.

I just read that yesterday!!! I'm droooooling.........

My favorite ROM is Tazz's Ultimate Elixir, based off of Damaged Tazz.

[ Rom]update 6-15-10 Damaged Tazz lwp/nav/oc/weather animation - xda-developers

I also run Sense-able 3.1 or Aloysious v12

Posted some pics:

I just flashed Damaged Tazz and I am loving it!! I came from EE 3.0. I have a question about one of the apps. I am new to the whole root thing and I have seen many post about app2sd what is it exactly? I am guessing it has something to do with the app that is called Damageconfig. What am I supposed to do with it?

App2SD is a method of putting applications on your SD card instead of on the phone's internal storage. Android 2.1 doesn't natively support this but Google has stated they plan to support it in a future release.

For some background here is one of the earlier tutorials and some posted discussion on partitioning your sd card for the apps to sd ("a2sd") functionality:

If you're an app freak, a2sd is for you. ;)

I am using Aloysius v12. I have removed alot of what came with it and have added some things from others' roms. Since I dont know how to make my own, I started with one I like and have modded that one to get the effects and things that I have been looking for. It is a work in progress, but the main rom is Aloysius v12, which I guess is should be v12.xx since I have modded it so many times.

I decided to have a look at Aloysius Snow this morning; been running it for a few hours.

I find it fast.. I've had my XTR overclocked to 710 and I find this Aloysius to be just as snappy with no overclocking at all.

I went ahead and put in Launcher Pro and my usual apps.

My only quibble with this ROM is that it is seems to be causing my device to do something I've seen complaints about here and there but which has never happened before on mine: the soft key lights are switching on and off at random times with no movement of the phone at all. It's as if the sensor is too sensitive all of a sudden.

Right now I'm running XTR, so far I love it its super Snappy, haven't OC YET, but I also like CELB 2.7 , just cuz the way it looks, but then again I found XTR to be a little more faster

On KaosFroyo v(XX).

Just rolling with it. punk.kaos is doing a great job updating and working out bugs.

It's very smooth and very fast!

I tried KaosFroyo,, found kinda laggy and slow,,well I just had it like for half an hour or so, I'll probably give it another chance later on today :D, but its really fast , u think?

It's slow at first for two reasons:

1. Under display setting, "All window animations are shown" is set as default. Set it to no aninmations.

2. Your market apps start to install automatically. This takes time and resources. (edit: not 100% if it was automatic because of FroYo or if it was Titanium Backup installing apps)

After that, it runs very well. It's still got some bugs, but punk.kaos is working almost nonstop to get everything up and running. v11 came out monday morning, now on v17!

Thanks !! yeah ! just noticed the new V17,,just downloaded it and ready to flash a give it a shot !!! :D

v19 is out. He's working out bugs. Beta testing is exhausting...;)

edit: BTW... OC'd @ 806MHz / 5.4 MFLOPS

i'm on v19 as well, it took a couple of hours to tweak it just right, but its pretty stinkin awesome. Only thing I noted that didn't really work was the camera :D

:)

I just rooted yesterday but have already tried WW, Ivan's ROM, Aloysius, EE, ZEN and KaosFroyo.

I'm liking ZEN the most so far. I'll be trying XTR soon though.
