Long story short: Tonapapah was not worth getting out of the car for, so I drove up near Reno anyway. Next day, I saw Carson City, Reno and a few of their casinos. Even though it's a nice winter out here this year, the multiple snow chain pullouts were enough to spook me off – I know why those things are there. So I left and wound up driving all the way home, non-stop.

...1500 Miles in 32 hours, but why? For the crazy drive, I guess. But now that I was able to cross them off my list, I still have to go to Oceanside, so I can cross that off too. And then...

Now I've called a realtor in, of all places, the town I've been in for twenty years. Decided that now that I've turned a decrepit sixty, I might as well check out those 55+ developments. Get something cheap here, then maybe something cheap there, wherever there is.

If you can dream it, you can do it! My daughter did. Yes, it's expensive--if you're planning on living right smack dab in the middle of things! But outlying areas are more affordable, plus it's very common to have roommates.

Give it time, work hard to save money, do your research, and if it's meant to be, it will happen.

Where as art and theater come alive,
theivery is leagel to steal other ideas,
and oh joy. The crazy weather down here, varries duration of fall time,
and the sunshine does not stick around always.
We are a humble college town, taken in to our college friends come one and come all.
We have.. A few bowling alleys too..
And crickets!!! LOL

I am netural about this city hahahaa :)

I don't know if I answered this one. I was away when you started it. It was during my hiatus... but I'd say I like it SOMEtimes. When the weather is perfect. :)

You know, it's tough when you live somewhere with perfect weather year-round! :o

Well, we do bitch about the blistering--and record-setting--heat when it's around, and my fellow natives--who've never lived where it actually gets cold--bitch about how cold it is in the winter...but whatever!

So about how much of the time would you say your weather is perfect?

New Joisey? Is that where you are? Both my mother and husband were born there...

...and both escaped to lands of sunshine and temperate climates! My mom's family to Los Angeles, my husband's family to Florida.

Since moving back home in 2006, I really just don't find much to complain about. Sure, it was miserable--OUTSIDE--during our recent record-breaking temperatures (120+ degrees!), but I'm not outside. And when my fellow natives, bundled up in heavy coats, bitch about how cold it is (≈68°) in the winter, I just roll my eyes. I've lived where it actually gets COLD, and I assure you, this is not it! I lived in Dallas during its record-setting, still standing low temperature of -1°. THAT was cold!
 
I don't mind the weather out here in the desert too much, though I am looking forward to cooler weather.

It would be nice if I could get the roof fixed before the rain begins, though... it'll be tight: waiting on a house sale to go final so I can afford it.
 
Oh sure! Now I live in the most beautiful place on earth! I love my city with all my heart. And recently I got the apartment of my dreams and now I am the happiest! I found my flat in one of new developments london 2021 . And I can say it looks really perfect. My apartment is located in a new building in a lovely area. In addition, I bought an apartment with a magnificent modern renovation.
