OMG NO! LoL. I was on that Blackberry crack for 12 months until I realized phones shouldn't take 8 minutes to turn on and the browser was so antiquated. I sold my Curve and bought a used G1 which I've been using for the last year. Can't wait to jump to the Epic in October (or if another awesome high end QWERTY comes out, then that one).

Death to the BB. My GF is pissed at how cool Android turned out. She wanted to get a G1 at launch but I Andro-Blocked her and she bought a BB 8900. As soon as May comes around, she's getting whatever the newest Mid-Level Android phone comes out. I love that girl.

In my opinion:

Droid is a great portable computer with some mediocre e-mail capabilities (disappearing e-mails in inbox anyone?)

BB is a great e-mail device with some limited computing capabilities.

I have Droid Incredible for 2 weeks now, ran into all the common issues out there posted in forums (battery life, City ID app not removable, loosing e-mails). No doubt that the more complex these systems get the more opportunities there are for having issues but that the manufacturer and the carriers (VZW in my case) can't address the most common ones is just a blatant ignorance of their customers.

So do I miss my BlackBerry 8830 WE? I do miss reliable e-mailing and international use of this unit, as that were in my life the value of any of these products is. Not to mention that the Incredible is useless in most countries around the world (no GSM support but that was my choice) and SKype Mobile is limited to use on 3G only which again is useless in most places overseas.

So, looking beyond the "eye candy" of the Droid, the BB is a great device for it's intended purpose and public.

I love my vibrant!!!! But......... my BB9700 was a workhorse. It was slow, had a small screen and di not have cool apps. But, it always got my email, gps worked and was accurate and just in general had a lot less bugs.

No..not at all...since I'm back to using it (my X died 3 days after I received it - have to wait for the 29th [hopefully] for the new one).

Seriously though, the only thing I miss is the ability to customize the flashing LED for various notification types. I really did like that.

Same here!! BerryBuzz was one of my top and fav apps!:

No spell check, are you crazy? And delayed emails from my accounts since Android 2.1 can only have 1 activesync account at a time....only had the phone for a few days and I continue to notice limitations.

It's fun, don't get me wrong. Web browsing is awesome compared to the BB, but it's missing some seriously basic features.

i voted yes, and here is why: i cant keep them all, especially with verizon wireless, its not as easy as putting in a sim card and away you go. i wish i could have all of them still, but i cant, and i miss all of the ones i sold. a collection is really cool

I don't miss my BB at all. The dang thing gave me so many problems it's unbelievable. The screen would lock on its own, and then you couldn't get it to unlock even if you followed the directions to unlock it. My work has no BB server, so it really wasn't that great of a business phone. The internet was beyond sucky. No decent games. The only thing that I can say on its behalf is that it did last the full two year contract period.

I miss my blackberry as much as I miss AT&T on the other hand I really do not miss AT&T Ako there is your answer I guess....

You had multiple ActiveSync accounts on your BB? Seems like RIM should have advertised that capability LONG ago.

As for email delays, it sounds like an issue particular to you. I've never had any and I don't recall seeing a plethora of such threads on Android forum sites. I can't assume that my situation is the norm any more than yours but it seems like there would be far more complaints if it was an issue inherent to Android.

It also includes many capabilities that the BB can't match. Like any other option, there are pros and cons.

i can't believe that i used to love my blackberries so much. i guess i just didn't know any better! blackberry is a great business device, and gained tremendous consumer support as a "cool" device to have, but at some point i envision them loosing consumer support and going back to being a business-only device.

even bb6 isnt that great and it should have been a homerun

I voted yes. Not because I think one device is better than another, just the fact I liked using my BB.
I will miss my DroidX when I get my next phone.

I don't see this poll as "Do you like your Android better than your Blackberry"

I see at as it's labeled. I do miss my Blackberry. And?.............

I read things literally. :p

I agree, I loved my BB and would still be using it if I hadn't spilled a drink all over the face. The BBM seems like such a simple messenger program yet I have not been able to find anything that comes close on my droid. Don't get me wrong, the X is an incredible tool and I couldn't be happier with my choice but there will always be a place in my heart for my first smart-phone.

I on my 10th day of my trial period with my G2 and I'm struggling. Like others have said, there are more bells and whistles. But the basic function of phone calls, e-mailing and texting is far superior on the BB.

I still can't figure out how to synch my Outlook calendar and contacts (with 2-way synching). Actually I think G2 doesn't support it with full functionality.

Well, I wasn't shooting at it, but thanks for the idea...
