is there any way to change the "Messaging" button to launch Handcent SMS instead of the Defualt app? I love handcent and wanna use this button to launch that instead of the app I won't be using ....

When in the Applications screen, tap the cog symbol in the upper left. Now you can move any icons, and switch out the ones on the dock (except the Home one) by pressing and holding the icon, and then dragging it to where you want. You can hit Menu > Save to stop editing (just going to Home probably works, too).
