Help Does anyone have a decent audio playback setup?

I just came from my trusty iPod Nano which I have used for over 2 years. I was OVERLY satisfied with my audio output. I finally found an equalizer for android that was as precise as the iTunes equalizer, but of course, it wasn't nearly loud enough. When I installed Volume+ to rectify that, there was no way to merely increase the volume without blasting the sound quality to oblivion. Does anyone have a decent audio setup they can share?

they are typically all low, its a problem with our device, and so far people have tried fixing it in there custom roms, but it usually seems to wanna stay low lol

i agree about volume+ tho, works to make a phone call louder or such, but if i try to enable it to do music, it get so loud and distorted for no reason, the headphones sound like there stressing trying to play and there a really decent pair

I also tried beatsaudio, and while it did cause my music's bass and sound quality to increase a nice little bit, it lowered the audio more then it was already, so i got that off

yea the beats audio built in equalizer cant run while any other equalizers running, so if you had lets say volume+ and DSPManager installed it would first crash both of them before it could start working lol

same here, till i find something i like and actually works, it seems the stock music player with the default DSPManager settings seems best
 
I have my stock DSP set to all bars up minus the first too, those i set up about 1/4 - 1/2 way up. Those seem to effect bass, which seems to be what distorts my speakers... it's not perfect but it is louder and with less distortion.
 
In 3 years of numerous different android phones I personally think that PowerAmp is the best sounding and customizable music solution available.
 
Cyanogen Mod 7 comes with an app called DSP Manager which allows you to control the quality of sound down to the decibel and equalizer for the headset and phone speakers. To me it works fantastic especially when I hook it up to the AUX port in my car. Happy rooting!
 
If ya'll want a app that really works for volume enhancement just download "Sound Booster" From the play store. It works for my M. Triumph and its free.
 
Fiio E6 is another way to go, however while it readily boosts volume levels without distortion, like any other amp garbage in equals garbage out. Unfortunately using the headphone jack requires that you are using the Triumphs op-amp which really does suck. The onboard dac has absolutely no head room and spurious noise is readily apparent.
 
My rooted CM7 Triumph did :) like it a heck of a lot better than my Razrs audio when I'm in the car. Although the ICS update with the Razr helped a little but the Triumph still had much better sound
 
I use Player Pro with its 10 band eq and add Sound Boost for when it's plugged in to the car stereo.
I'm happy with that setup, considering the crappy sound of the Triumph over all.
