Does anyone here not have trouble with their s3?

I love mine. I got it 2 days after it was released in Australia. I have the White 16gb (didn't like to blue).
My battery lasts about 2.5 - 3 days the way I use it, reception is good, no wifi issues, no issues with screen brightness etc.

I think it is a great phone :)
 
love everything about my phone...there are things i would change...TouchWiz is an average at best overlay...and the cellular radios are not the best of any phone out there (read:Motorola)...but its EASILY the best phone on the market right now...there is no doubt about that
 
i dont have any problem or severe issues with the phone, but i'm far from a power user or mod crazy like some of the members here on the forum.

the only minor issue that i have is, i cant reply to everyone in a group text message.
 
I am a power user and have only had a small problem once, caused by heat. Otherwise, I am perfectly happy with the phone.

I have an S3,, ipod touch and MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, the MacBook doesn't recognise the phone if I connect by USB, which is a pain in the 'arris. It's possible to use the 50Gb Dropbox account as a go-between, or mount the S3 to the Mac via the phone's own wifi, but both options are more fiddly and slower than a straightforward USB cable transfer. Other than that; great phone.

That is just a problem with Mac. MTP is a standard thing, nothing new, but not for Mac.
 
No problems with my Samsung Galaxy S3, use it for web browsing, email and reading news. Not tried the phone out. lol. Guess I should find someone to try it out with. Came from a iPhone which is just use for taking photos.
 
I have a Linksys router that refuses to allow download speeds greater than 1 Mbps... I have multiple postings here about it

At first I thought it was the phone. So I went back to the ATT store and swapped out for another. Sure enough same issue.

Now reason I thought it was the phone since I have multiple other wifi devices connecting with no issues. Including the fell streak phone my S3 was replacing.

So for the heck of it i connected an older wifi router. Bam!!! Regular speeds.

Went back to the linksys. Back to slow speeds. Reset Linksys back to factory defaults, ie no ssid or security. Again... slows speeds so I just said F it and just connected old router and made new ssid and used that for the S3 exclusively...
 
The GS3 is a great device overall with two stand out issues compared to other devices (one good one bad- for Verizon version).

Good = 4G radio use has amazing battery life and does not get hot like other current 4G devices.

Bad = 3G (in weak signal areas) is the polar opposite of the good stand-out. It is so bad, it seems like a "break fix" for their firmware, so should be a main priority for an update.

Ah, it's the nature of the beast with boards like these. Look on the iPhone boards and you'll see complaints there as well. It's why we come here. Still, my ONLY complaint about the S3 is it's radio. It could be better but it so depends on where you're at. My office sucks but other than that, I'm happy with it and I love everything else about it beginning with it's big beautiful size and wonderful screen. Anyway, every carrier gives you a buyers remorse period so don't fret over it. Try it out. I'm quite sure you'll know within two weeks whether it's the phone for you. I went from an iPhone 4s to the S3 about a month and a half ago and have not looked back.

Which carrier are you using? I hear complaints about Verizon, but not so much AT&T

Also again...

If anyone can direct me to a site about rooting I would be very appreciative. It would help me decide if switching to the Galaxy S3 is really the way to go.

I have a Macbook Pro and it works just fine with the S3. Samsung has "Kies", an computer app you download which is like their version of iTunes that you use to sync you phone. Not sure about how/what you would do to get the iPad and S3 to work together.

Actually, I am using US Cellular. They have ALWAYS had excellent reception so I think I'm chalking this one up to the device.
 
I've had mine replaced because my original one could fry an egg it got so hot. Then my second one had a broken home button. It was very loose and squeaky. This third one is perfect. Other than these hardware issues the phone is great. The one I currently have is perfect
 
I love this phone. Best phone ive had so far. Had few small problems but have been able to put them right thanks to this forum. Got it exactly how i want it right now

How is the syncing of your Apple Mail with the GS3 and how did you accomplish it?

I know it can be set up with Google Mail, but here is the thing...

My Apple Mail has lots of subfolders that I categorize my mail in. I would like to be able to keep that structure with Google Mail, be able to move emails in and out of them, and still have them synced between my Mac devices and GS3.

Is that possible?

When I first got the S3 I could connect it to tbe Mac with Android File Transfer. I managed to drop about 30Gb of films and music with no problems. Then, after an Ics update, that stopped working. Kies has never worked properly on my Mac.

My S3 was nicked a couple of days ago and I'm hoping that the insurance replacement, which should come tomorrow, will work with AFT again.
 
if i could figure out how to get sound and vibrate to work at the same time the phone would be perfect for what i need it for. calls and text. thing only gives 1 weak vibration, im missing text messages with this thing

Since the Apple Mail App is an email client/app, just like the S3 mail app, and not an email host/webmail, the answer is no. Since it is just retrieving your email from the host server, I don't see any way to link it to the S3 mail app, or any app for that matter. Unless you have those subfolders setup in Mail app via your GMail account. Then you should still have access to those subfolders via the S3 email app.

A bit overkill.. There are at least a couple of apps which allow you to manage your library with iTunes and sync to an Android device. I use isyncr.
 
Love this phone....just took it on a trip out west and it performed like a champ....watched movies, text , call, navigating, internet....I live in a 3g only area so had my first experience with 4g... boy am I missing out with not having that speed available all the time... used it as my only camera....used an extended battery and never got below 30% for a hard days use.... had a great time.
