Help Does anyone's """CRICKET""" huawei ascend make a sound when booting up.

I cant make a boot sound on my cricket huawei ascend to save my life, so with that being said does anyone else's HUAWEI make a sound, and im NOT talking about METRO HUAWEI'S just CRICKET. if anyone has had success making a boot sound PLEASE HELP me. Also if not is there any apps that would allow me to do so...

That's why I have a mirror-finish screen protector,makes it difficult to see the logo @ first glance,helps to keep the "Dirty Little Secret" from prying eyes.;)
 
Back on topic here,sorry for drifting!:)
I'm w/Cricket as well.The only sound my phone makes when booting up is the ringtone I selected under"Notification ringtone",in the settings section,right after the SD Card installs when booting up.

Actually my phone takes longer to boot up than I think it should. About 7 or 8 seconds into the boot it makes this little "dadada" sound. And that's it. I have notification ringtones for everything but nothing specifically denotes the boot sound. This is the first phone I've had that makes no noticeable sound on booting.
 
I kno what you guys mean, Ive had metro before it was ok. but cricket for the money is the shizznit. I get alittle emb when people ask who my carrier is but im over that now since i got the huawei. I really wanted the zio bc of the processor n amount of gb it could hold but from what i hear there not so good so im over that too. but im hearing that cricket has a new droid coming out thats supposed to be of the hook, but i havent heard nething solid on it. and bc of all you guys and gals im really happy. you people are great, im happy to be in the droid family...;)

Yeah...it really does. I never noticed it before, to be honest. But today when I booted it up I deliberately listened for it. It's very easy to miss. LOL

And yes...I do have Cricket! :)

Welcome to the Ascend forum, Ciabatoni! I just love Cricket. Why should I throw money away just to have Verizon, etc. imprinted on my phone when I can get the same service and good coverage and not be locked into a 2 year contract. I think Cricket has a great thing going for them and offering the Huawei Ascend is one of the best things they've done. I was confused at first about which phone to choose too. The Zio or the Ascend. I'm really happy with my choice.

As for a new phone, there are rumours about the next new Cricket smart phone being an LG (LG Optimus) or the IDEOS X5. But there is nothing showing up on the Cricket calendar just yet. I'm holding out for the X5. :)

Can you undo whatever you did that bricked it?
 
I am trying to get to recovery mode now. I tried to install a skin using metamorph and now it keeps looping the "com.android" and Launchpro" force starts. Cant figure out how to get to recovery though. power and menu at same time not working.

Have you tried doing a reset? Try turning it off and letting it rest for about 15 minutes. Then see if it will boot up for you. Give it a chance to finish loading. It's probably trying to do things you wanted it to. Give it a chance to finish...if it will. Then uninstall whatever you did before it messed up, including LP. Get your phone working right again before you reinstall these apps. You might want to do a factory reset if you're not rooted yet.
