does f3 work with miracast

Yes F3 is miracast compatible. It works with pretty much all of the dongles. There are many dongles on amazon. I would caution against buying any of them. Almost all of them have have poor reviews. Those dongles are poor use of your money. At an average cost of $60 dollars they are very expensive and limited.

What exactly do you want to use it for? If it is to watch pictures and videos from your phone to a tv i would recommend the roku. It costs about the same and is better for streaming movies. Those dongles tend to lag a little bit.

Another thing bad about them is that you have to keep the screen of the phone turned on at all times when you use it because if not the TV goes dark. This means you would probably half to attach your phone to a charger if you are going to be using the dongle for a long period of time.

It is just a hassle man. There is a reason why these dongles are not selling well. I would also urge you to look into the Google Chromecast. It cost almost half but only works with youtube, netflix, hulu, pandora, and google play music.

Do you recommend any Android DLNA media servers? I have a Roku hooked up to a cheap 3M LED projector (which works well), and have Plex client installed, but currently stream from a PC. Would be nice to be able to stream from the phone too (with 32/64 GB card to store the movies).

Have you ever tried Twonky with your Roku. If you download the twonky app for android and the one on Roku you can see the videos and pictures from your phone on the Roku player. It also works pretty well with YouTube.

Also, if you have the twonky app on your phone you can go to the youtube native app and lets say you want to play a video on your roku you can press share, then twonky and it will automatically play it on the Roku too. I like it that way better because the native app works better than the mobile website. Specially if your phone is an older model.

As far as DLNA network on android i have never tried one. I tried the servers directly from my PC just like you do.

Thanks went with a roku 2 xs I bought on craigslist used for $35 dollars and used twonky app on phone and can stream anything I want from phone to tv appreciate all your help and advice.

Don't know anything about the ones in question or the one's I'm going to post.

Saw a Google Chromecast in Best Buy and took a quick glance at it and thought it looked somewhat interesting
