Does Fast Boot Drain Battery?

Does it drain the battery? I'm just trying to adjust all options to conserve battery

A bump is cool, just don't go starting another thread It's a good question, but I doubt it does. Even if it did, it wouldn't be enough that you'd notice it

I notice that it does but only at bootup.

Fastboot doesn't change the battery consumption when the phone is awake. What fastboot does is put the phone into a sleep mode(similar to closing the lid on a laptop) instead of shutting it off when you turn the phone off. That sleep mode consumes battery, but it is a very miniscule amount, just enough to keep the RAM from forgetting what is stored.

I actually disabled it to bump charge and never turned it back on and my battery life has been great since then. May or may not have anything to do with fast boot though.
