Help Does leaving screen on while using Adownloader cause screen burnin ?

While using Adownloader to download files, if I do not select "leave screen on" in the Adownloaer settings the file downloads extremely slow.

My question is how does evreyone use Adownloader ? Do you leave sreen on ? I am afraid it will cause screen burnin even though I have it set to go dim after 30 seconds.

Is there a better option to use, or is there a way to keep the Adownloader download speed fast even though the screen sleeps ?

Any static image for a long period of time will cause burn in. To reduce burn-in, don't keep static images on screen. Reducing brightness is supposed to help as well. Do you have to keep the App open for it to work at full speed or just the screen on? If its just screen on, get an all black image and just navigate to that in the gallery and leave it on screen. If you need the App open I don't know what to tell you.

Yes, but our phones are lcd which take a lot longer then conventional screen such as the crt.

I do not see any need to leave the screen on during downloading. The download will keep going even if you turn the screen off.

No, the app does not need to be kept on the screen. The screen just needs to stay on or the Adownloader speed slows down to a trickle. There is a setting in Adownloader to keep screen on to prevent slow download speeds.

Thanks for the idea to just put the screen on a black image. I will try that. I just wish there was a way to keep the screen off and still have fast downloads with this app.

The screen used on the Nexus (es/i?) is not LCD, but Super AMOLED and yes, you can get screen burn, but no way to really tell how long is long enough to cause this. But like others have said, really no reason to leave the screen on when downloading anything. On my GSII Int'l version, the status bar has left a slight blue shade at the top part of the screen... won't go away. Nature of the technology.

gosh... I've tried adownloader and it was trickle with the screen on (like 5 kB/s)... never gotten a torrent downloader to work well on the phone...
