Help Does Tasker work well on the EVO 3D?

Haven't seen any specific posts regarding running Tasker on the EVO 3D. Like many of us, I use Tasker profiles on my EVO 4G to monitor the "state" of the EVO and turn on/off radios, WiMax, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc. to save battery. Not sure if some or all of these profiles require root (I think not). Any feedback from current EVO 3D Tasker users? Thanks...

Just downloaded it last night and started setting it up for GPS - Volume and WiFi control so it activates when I am at work. Never had much success with Locale when it came out (and apparently no one really has), so Tasker seems like a reasonable alternative.

I'll post back later with good or bad results. With this test.

Alright. Here is what I gathered from the first day of usage.

Just some information I'm putting for comparison..

With my EVO 4G from a full charge from 1:30p to 12:00a (my usual work day) I woupd be around 60% battery life when i got home. Pretty good with a few texts and syncs every 5 to 10 minutes.

My EVO 3D with the same setup and time frame, id be around 40% when I get off work.

After adding Tasker (also added Juice Defender Ultimate on Extreme) my phone actually died 30 minutes before close. I looked at my Battery Usage and it displays that Tasker used up a whole 10% of my Battery with only one setting. Also it never found my location until I reset my device while I was at work to activate my Silent setting. This could be because of Juice Defender, though.

This of course is just one day of testing. I'm going to uninstall juice Defender and see what happens. Maybe change up a few setting and see what i can come up with.

Tasker though, is a great Application. It just take time to understand all its tricks. This is my second time actually using it.

Update: All my EVO 4G profiles worked on my EVO 3D pretty much perfectly. The only small anomaly I see is with GPS...the location icon doesn't seem to turn off on my 3D. This might be because the 3D is using cell towers for GPS as well as satellite, so when the sat radio is turned off it's still active with the cell towers?

Even though GPS is off, Android can still use Cell Towers with triangulation to find your location, as well as local WiFi networks. But I do not think Tasker has that option with Cell Towers for location.
